Genesis
Southeast Europe has a coliving scene that is younger, cheaper and far more scattered than the Mediterranean’s, growing quickly across a region fragmented by borders, languages, currencies and visa regimes. What it doesn’t have is anyone covering it independently.
There is a second problem on top of that: people arrive carrying outdated assumptions about the region itself. The site has to offer a fairer picture of the place before it can help anyone choose within it.

Who it’s for
Anyone planning four weeks or more in the region, whatever they call themselves. Most readers still won’t know what coliving is when they arrive, so the site explains it rather than assuming.
A note on the name
“The Balkans” is a contested label, and some of the countries inside it would rather not be. The site says so rather than quietly imposing the term and hoping nobody minds.
Where it stands
In development, and further along than it looks — the first spaces, towns, guides and advocacy pieces are drafted, with a coming-soon page in front while the coverage thickens up.
