Hint: Reset Microsoft Office Licence on Mac OS X

Did you ever encounter the problem that you have more office-licences than you ever expected. when your company crows, and your legal software-licences also? when you do not have to ask the guy next to you to close it’s excel, yo you can use it? do you?

well, than you do also known the problem to add a new licence-key to your office-instance withour completly remove the software from your system?

but, there is a solution. remove the following 2 files and you can happily add a new licence-key:

~/Library/Preferences/Microsoft/Office\ 2008/Microsoft\ Office\ 2008\ Settings.plist

/Applications/Microsoft\ Office\ 2008/Office/OfficePID.plist
