I keep an independent directory of coliving spaces, listed by country — no accounts, no reviews, no rankings.

A plain list of coliving places known to exist, each pointed at its own website. Whatever happens after that is between you and them.

I started this in late 2022 under a different name — Where To Next — because the question kept coming up and had no decent source. Coliving operators describe their spaces in the language of lifestyle photography. Booking sites describe them in the language of nightly rates. Neither will simply tell you which places exist and where.

So the directory does that:

  • 114 coliving places across 21 countries, grouped by continent, then country — from the obvious clusters in Spain, Portugal, the USA and Germany down to countries with a single entry.
  • Country pages with a point of view. Portugal has more coliving spaces per capita than anywhere else in Europe, a side-effect of cheap-ish rent, a nomad visa and a lot of waves.
  • Search by country or city, and a filter once you’re there.
  • One practical line per place: city, roughly how many rooms, whether there’s a community manager, and when I last checked.
  • Nothing to book. Every place links out.
  • Alphabetical order, which is the least interesting order and the only honest one.

It’s the oldest of my projects and it still gets added to. The work now is depth rather than breadth, and getting the data to refresh itself so it stops going stale the moment my attention drifts elsewhere. Which it does.
